Our main goal is to keep the breed as close to its original state as possible. We are not interested in altering the breed for any reason.

The original cattle of the Old West. Living History. A purely bred Texas Longhorn Cow, Bull or Steer brings nostalgia and wonder to old and young alike. If you aren't able to own any, we hope you will visit longhorn ranches across the country to experience the majestic longhorn presence and feel the American West come alive before your eyes!
We have gathered our herd foundation cows and breeding bulls from many respected ranches across the United States, carefully selecting the best examples of purity, beauty, and correct form.
We believe that improving herds is different from improving the breed -- which, in our opinion, needs no improvement at all. Excessive horn length and/or body type that is unlike the original Longhorn of the West is becoming more prevalent with emphasis on the longest horn or the largest body.
"Improvements" to horn length or body type can produce cattle that stray from the true historic longhorn characteristics.
Perfection and beauty within the proper conformation is our ultimate goal. Our breeding choices produce truly feminine long-horned females that average 60-70" Tip To Tip at maturity. We pay special attention to their body conformation. The cows should be "hippy" and have a clean underline with wide ribcage, narrow hips and long legs. Longhorns should look like the cattle they are--- survivors. Their horns should look proportional to their body. The more colorful and the rangier they look, the better.
We pay especially close attention to the masculine-vs.-feminine look of the herd. Our bulls are bred to look imposing and impressive. Masculine. They have clean underlines, large heads, imposing shoulders, narrowing hips and horns with a good-size girth and length. We do not breed bulls that exhibit aggressive behavior towards people. All our breeding bulls must exhibit dominance and the desire to 'own' his cows.
